Oregon Wild protects our wildlands, wildlife, and waters from massive development which includes nearly 1.7 million acres of wilderness, 95,000 acres of forests, and almost 1,800 miles of wild & scenic rivers.
Oregon Wild came to us eager to ditch their previous problematic website that was built with the Plone CMS. Content updates were very time-consuming and frustrating for their team. The brand messaging and art direction were disconnected from their action-oriented audiences and the site didn't display well on various devices, limiting their impact.
We started from scratch by strategizing the home page to inspire users to get the newsletter, donate, take action, and attend events. The brand and tone are warm with slightly rugged fonts to play off the Northwest scene. Website visitors are converting with increased membership, donations, and letters being written to state reps. The site displays beautifully on desktops to mobile so the organization can keep doing their good in the world.
To complement the website’s theme of waters, wildlife, and wilderness, we designed a set of icons with a strong sense of Northwest flavor.
