Logo and custom WordPress website for a Portland, OR company that builds smart and green for communities.

WALSH is a different kind of company that believes in building smart, building green, and building community for their clients. They create high performance, energy efficient buildings that help to reduce environmental impacts. Nonprofit and community-based organizations like Mercy Corps, Portland Children’s Museum, Bud Clark Commons, and the PNCA ArtHouse see the benefits with lower overall operating costs.

Grit in all the right places

The new WALSH website is minimal, textured with hardworking grit, and packed with vibrant color for high impact. It’s driven by a custom built WordPress theme so staff can easily maintain the content: creating new work projects, adding contractor bids, and maintaining their news blog. Zurb’s Foundation framework ensures the website looks great from a desktop to mobile so everyone can enjoy WALSH’s smart creations.

Refreshing the logo

We modernized the typography and chunked up the line thickness of WALSH’s logo. The roof line was also adjusted so the icon is more streamlined. Their logo frequently appears on banners during construction projects so it was important for their logo to be simple, bold, and memorable. Boom.

"WALSH highly recommends ILLUSIO. Chuck is great to work with and has a trustworthy eye for detail. He was able to guide us successfully through the website and logo redesign process and, with limited information and understanding from us. Chuck is very innovative and is always looking for new solutions, technologies, and fresh ideas to make a project better. He is also a fun person to work with and is very patient, helpful and insightful - and has a great way of sharing technical information in a clear and comprehensive manner. We love our redesigned logo and our new website and look forward to working on future projects with ILLUSIO."
